BLACKSBURG, Va.— A high school student was killed and another four people, including a Virginia Tech student, were injured during a shooting at a hookah lounge in Virginia, authorities said.
The Blacksburg Police Department said officers responded to reports of shots fired at Melody Hookah Lounge in downtown Blacksburg on Friday just before midnight.
Police did not identify the deceased person or any of the people who were injured in the shooting. Authorities said they were taken to local hospitals, but that their conditions are unknown.
Officers apprehended Jamel D. Flint of Roanoke Saturday night in Roanoke,according to WDBJ.
The 24-year-old was charged with Murder in the First Degree for the homicide of Isiah O. Robinson of Roanoke, plus four counts of Attempted Murder in the First Degree and one count of Use of a Firearm while committing or attempting to commit Murder for the remaining four victims.
The 18-year-old Robinson was a student at Patrick Henry High School in Roanoke.

Nearby, Virginia Tech was encouraging students to stay indoors, but has since lifted the request, the university said in a post on Twitter.
Frank Shushok Jr., the university's vice president for student affairs, said a student was among the injured.
"We have been in contact with his family, and they report their son is out of surgery, recovering, and seems to be doing well," Shushok wrote. "We continue to respect the privacy of the student, and we are grateful for the outpouring of care and support directed to him."
Shushok said the school is "working to support the community."
