SUSSEX COUNTY, Va. -- One person is dead after a two vehicle accident in Sussex County Friday afternoon.
Virginia State Police responded to a crash on Route 40 at route 657 at approximately 3:30 p.m.
Crime Insider sources say the crash involved a tractor-trailer and an SUV.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene and another has been medflighted from the scene.
All lanes are blocked at this time and VDOT is currently rerouting traffic and alternate routes.
