RICHMOND, Va. -- Community members did not want to let Mother's Day pass without thanking workers on the front lines taking care of new moms and their babies.

The Richmond chapter of Frontline Foodsteamed up with Liberty Public House in Church Hill to deliver meals to staff in VCU's Labor And Delivery Unit and Mother Infant Unit.

"Even though we have to be socially distant, we may not be able to see each other face to face," Devon Cabot with Frontline Foods said. "We want to provide a little bit of comfort, a little bit of gratitude and just say Happy Mother's Day."

Cabot said the thank you was also a good opportunity to support area restaurants.
