RICHMOND, Va. -- Drive-up COVID-19 tests are now available, by appointment, at the Patient First location along Midlothian Turnpike.

The tests are available at the Patient First on Parham and I-64, in Mechanicsville, and at Genito Road and Hull Street Road in Chesterfield County.

"Appointments are made by calling a designated testing center. Patients are asked about symptoms and risk factors to determine whether they meet screening criteria based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC)," a Patient First spokesperson said. "In order to be tested, a patient must either have a symptom or symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat) or be a healthcare worker or first responder."

Test results will take between two and seven days.

All Patient First Medical Centers, including the designated testing centers, remain open on a walk-in basis every day from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
