RICHMOND, Va. -- The Virginia Department of Health is working on a state pharmacy program that will involve 100 pharmacies across the state that will receive COVID-19 vaccines, but that partnership has not been activated yet.
Therefore, VDH said it is not yet ready to release the names of pharmacies involved in the program.
The Richmond and Henrico Health Districts declined to name three Richmond-area pharmacies expected to get the vaccine.
A VDH spokesperson said, for the most part, people will need to sign up for a vaccine through their local health district, and they will then schedule an appointment which could be at a pharmacy.
However, they said a health district can allow a pharmacy to run its own signup.
