RICHMOND, Va. -- At the beginning of each school year, teachers spend some time setting rules for their classes. When your home becomes the classroom, it's up to you to set the dynamic.
Educational consultant Samia Masood, of Think and Teach, said you'll have better results if you let your kids help you make the rules.
Masood said the number of rules depends on the age of your child.
She said to stick to around three rules for Kindergarten age and below.
"That way they can remember them and you can reference them back and it's not overwhelming," she said.
However, teenagers can handle more. She recommends a list of five to seven.
