RICHMOND, Va. -- New record highs were achieved on Friday as temperatures soared into the upper 80s. Richmond's high of 88° broke the old record by three degrees and was the warmest temperature since early October.
Highs across the viewing were near or above 80° in many spots.
A strong cold front passed Saturday morning. Temperatures were in the 70s around midnight, but crashed into the 40s and 50s by mid-morning.
Temperatures for Saturday afternoon will range from the mid 40s to the lower 50s. A brisk north-northeasterly wind will make it feel even cooler.
Highs will stay in the 50s Sunday and Monday, but should get back into the 70s mid-week.
