RICHMOND, Va. -- After nearly a quarter century serving breakfast, lunch, and milkshakes in Scott's Addition, the Webb family is leaving The Dairy Bar.
"Over the past 24 months, we have grown our family with three beautiful grandchildren," the family posted on The Dairy Barn Facebook page Sunday. "It is time for us to pass the torch to a younger generation."
Bill and Patricia Webb, who have owned and operated The Dairy Bar since 1997, have sold the restaurant to Corey Martin.
"Several months ago , we hired Corey Martin, an experienced kitchen and restaurateur," the post continued. "Corey and his family have purchased our business and are committed to keeping the Dairy Bar thriving. Corey has the determination, the energy, and enthusiasm to take the Dairy Bar to the next level. We are extremely excited for Corey and we are equally excited for us to have the opportunity to spend time with our grandchildren."
The Webbs plan to make the transition The Dairy Bar to the new owners by the end of March.
"We will cherish the beautiful memories watching your families grow up," the Webbs wrote. "We want to also thank our great staff for working hard everyday to ensure great guest experience."
