Mexican restaurants do Richmond storefront shuffle

RICHMOND, Va. -- A group of local Mexican restaurateurs have just played a brief game of musical chairs. Earlier this month, Carlos Alvarez, who previously owned El Tucan at 4013 W. Broad St., took over operations at Jalapeno’s Mexican Grill at 3125 W. Cary St. in Carytown. El Tucan’s old home on West Broad Street isn’t sitting vacant, though.
