RAPHINE, Va. -- A COVID-19 mask wasn't enough to hide the identity of country music star Kane Brown.

Workers at White's Travel Center, off Interstate 81 in Raphine, recognized Brown when he stopped in Thursday morning.

"Even with the mask, Angie recognized Kane," Mellyora Mason, Director of Marketing for White's Travel Center, shared over Facebook messenger when asked about the celebrity sighting. "He was gracious enough to sign an autograph for her and when she suggested perhaps a pic, he said, 'How about a selfie?' Angie said he was very kind and gracious."

Mason said the travel center's central interstate location makes it a favorite for travelers and celebrities.

"We have always had celebrities stop in. Vince Gill, Marty Stuart, Whoopi Goldberg, Junior Samples (Hee Haw), Aaron Tippin," she said. "Our location on I-81 between New York and Florida makes it the perfect stop. Plus, White's has every amenity you could possibly want, lots of parking, and the friendliest employees!"
