RICHMOND, Va. -- Anytime is a good night for a movie, and this weekend you and your family can watch "The Addams Family" in the outfield at the Diamond, a benefit for The Virginia Home for Boys and Girls, a non-profit serving children in crisis for 174 years.
"In this age of the pandemic and fundraisers, we think we’ve come up with a really creative idea to give families an opportunity to come out, have some fun, some food, see a great movie at the Diamond," Lionel Bacon, V.P. of Philanthropy at the Virginia Home for Boys and Girls, said. s
In addition to the movie, there will be a Halloween costume contest with prizes.
Safety precautions are being taken for Sunday's event, the Diamond will be sectioned off in pods, for $120 you get a 10x10 pod, which can accommodate a family of 4, and for $240 you can get a 20x20 pod which holds 16 people.
