RICHMOND, Va. -- The JP JumPers Foundation provides services and events for families affected by special needs.

Each year, founder Pam Mines and the foundation host the JP JumPers annual Holiday Giving Tree program.

This year because of COVID, the event will be virtual on the foundation’s Facebook page.

The Live Launch will feature performances by individuals with special needs and local and national talents, recipient highlights, and community awards.

The program started in 2013 with 23 names.

This year there are 280 names on the Giving Tree that benefits special needs individuals from ages one to 84.

“When you see these individuals out there performing at our live launch this Saturday, when you see those with special needs performing it’s really going to melt your heart, it’s going to let you know what we can do, not what we can’t do and that our disability has nothing to do at all with our abilities,” said Mines.

This is a gift card event only.

The 2020 Giving Tree Live Launch is November 14, from noon – 4 p.m. on the JP JumPers Facebook page.
