Busch Gardens to open year-round with limited capacity special events

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- There is excitement brewing at Busch Garden’s Williamsburg. The park will open year-round for the first time in its history.

Winter Weekends is a brand new event and it combines a lot of the great things that guests come to expect around this time of year.

The limited capacity special event will include holiday lights, rides, fireworks and also for the first time, wildlife experience.

Guests will see baby kangaroos, alligators, a kombucha monkey, a lemur and other exotic wildlife while learning about the conservation efforts at park.

Winter Weekends will be offered Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, Jan. 15 – 24, with day and evening sessions available. Reservations are required.Click here for more information.

A second outdoor event, Mardi Gras, will transform Busch Gardens into New Orleans with rides, live music, Cajun food, cocktails, and all the things that you would expect in a great Mardi Gras experience.

Mardi Gras will be offered Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, Jan. 29 – Feb. 28. Click here for more information.

Then in March, the St. Patrick’s Day celebration will take on a whole new look. Instead of a day event, St. Patrick’s Day will turn into a month-long event.

The Sesame Street area will be open for the kids and the park will continue to practice safety precautions with hand sanitizer, masks required at all times, and temperature screenings before you enter the park.
