HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- Just 10 minutes west of Short Pump off of Broad Street, Alvis Farm is gearing up for its 2nd annual Sunflower Festival this weekend.
The farm is a dairy and grain farm and has been around since 1965, but the family has been farming the land much longer.
This year’s Sunflower Festival will have vendors and a professional photographer for pictures.
The festival will take place 0.5mile east of Shallow Well Road on Seay Road in Manakin-Sabot, VA 23103 (10 minutes west of Short Pump off of Broad Street.
No outside food or drinks are allowed except for 2 unopened water bottles. While leashed dogs are allowed, the farm asks patrons to be mindful of excessive heat.
Admission:
$5/person, age 5 and under are free.
