Nikki-Dee donates to fund to help restaurant workers dealing with economic hardships

RICHMOND, Va. – Restaurant workers across the Commonwealth have been hit hard after restaurants were forced to close their doors as a result of the coronavirus pandemic and orders to enforce social distancing.

“COVID-19 has affected not only Central Virginia, but the entire world. We may not be able to help everyone, but we can help people in our own neighborhoods, said CBS 6 Meteorologist Nikki-Dee Ray.

So, a virtual happy hour is being held to fundraiser is being held to help the restaurant community of Central Virginia.

The fundraiser will benefit the Holli Fund, which provides emergency grants to food service workers who have fallen on economic hardships.

“Not only are they helping out physically, but mentally as well,” Nikki-Dee added.

In the latest edition of CBS 6 Gives, Nikki-Dee Ray and CBS 6 made a donation to the fund.
