Born and raised in Petersburg, Sean has been a been a key part of the WTVR CBS 6 sports team since 2008, serving as the station’s Weekend Sports Anchor. Delivering comprehensive, community‑focused coverage viewers across Central Virginia count on, he has co‑anchored every episode of Final Score Friday since joining the department. His work reflects the deep connection he maintains with the communities and athletes of Central Virginia.
Before joining CBS 6, he spent nearly eight years as Sports Director at Virginia State's WVST Radio, where he developed a strong foundation in local sports storytelling and play‑by‑play broadcasting of Trojan Athletics. His early career also includes two seasons with the Richmond Braves.
Beyond the CBS 6 newsroom, Sean has built a respected presence in collegiate athletics. He has served as the TV Play‑by‑Play Voice of VCU Rams Men’s Basketball and the TV Play‑by‑Play Broadcaster for Hampton Pirates Men’s and Women’s Basketball. He also hosts the Hampton Pirates State of the Athletic Department Reports and the Dr. Alvin Parker Coaches Show.
A 2019 Emmy Award winner and three‑time Emmy nominee, he is part of a CBS 6 Sports Department recognized multiple times by the Associated Press, the Virginia Association of Broadcasters, and other journalism organizations for excellence in sports coverage.
His contributions to athletics extend beyond broadcasting. In 2022, he was inducted into the Virginia State Athletic Wall of Fame, honoring his impact on sports across the Commonwealth. In 2025, he received the VIAAA Distinguished Service Award for his meritorious service to interscholastic athletics.
Sean also serves as Master of Ceremonies for major athletic celebrations throughout Virginia, including the Virginia State University Hall of Fame Ceremony, the Virginia State Trojan Awards, the Petersburg Athletic Hall of Fame, the Highland Springs Athletic Wall of Fame, the Prince George Athletic Hall of Fame, and the Colonial Heights Athletic Hall of Fame.
When he’s not covering a game or hosting an event, he enjoys spending time traveling with his wife Stacey and son Tucker, a budding young sports star.
