Virginia pastor chases copper thief; church left with thousands in repair costs
A Virginia pastor who tried to chase down a copper thief who vandalized his church’s heating and air conditioning units said his church is now facing thousands of dollars in repair costs.
A $50 check he mailed in Richmond was later stolen and deposited for $9,000
He also filed a claim with his bank. However, he said because it wasn’t within their policy of filing it within 30 days of the check being deposited, the bank wouldn't give his money back.
