Ceremony honors civil rights icon Wyatt Tee Walker

RICHMOND, Va. -- Virginia Union University held a formal investiture service on Monday honoring the Reverend Wyatt Tee Walker, and a new social justice society named for him.

Doctor Walker was devoted to civil rights in the 1960s and worked side by side with Martin Luther King Jr.

He was Chief of Staff for MLK and led the Southern Christian Leadership Conference to national prominence during the Civil Rights movement.
