HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- Henrico Police are warning drivers Monday morning that a water main break may affect the morning commute.
The break was reported before 1:30 a.m. on West Broad Street between Willow Lawn Drive and Staples Mill Road.
"The break has closed the right eastbound lane of West Broad Street at Willow Lawn. Traffic is being directed into Broad’s left and center lanes through the area," a Henrico Department of Public Utilities spokesperson said. "Water service has been disrupted to 12 businesses. Crews have begun work to identify the area of the break and to make repairs."
The county expected water main repairs to be completed by 4 p.m. Road work would take a little longer.
Drivers were urged to use a different route.
