RICHMOND, Va. -- A strong cold front will move through the area Thursday night, bringing a line of strong to severe storms to the area.
There is a good chance that parts of this line of storms will produce significant severe weather in the form of damaging winds and brief tornadoes.
The cold front will move through Richmond around midnight, with much cooler and drier air quickly overtaking the region.
The weekend will be chilly and dry, with cold overnight lows and cool afternoons.
There is a good chance for freezing temperatures across a large part of the Piedmont and Tidewater of Virginia Monday morning. Another chance for light rain is expected on Tuesday.
