CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- Lanes are reopened, and a woman has been charged after a tractor-trailer wreck caused major delays on I-95 north in Chesterfield County Thursday afternoon.
Around 3:20 p.m., Virginia State Police responded to a multiple vehicle crash involving an overturned tractor-trailer hauling wood chips on I-95 North at the 67-mile marker.
The 20-year-old was driving North when she tried to change lanes and lost control, hitting another car. The driver of the tractor-trailer tried to avoid the crash and swerved, hitting the jersey wall and overturning.
One person suffered serious injuries, and the woman who police say caused the crash is charged with "unsafe lane change."
The crash closed all northbound lanes about one mile north of the Chippenham Parkway. Additionally, the left shoulder of I-95 south was closed.
