HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- Two water main breaks in one Henrico neighborhood have been fixed, but the road still remains closed.

The breaks on  Lauderdale drive have closed the northbound lanes between Cambridge Drive and John Rolfe Parkway, which is expected to remain closed into Saturday morning.

The second break occurred at about 1 p.m. after crews had repaired a nearby section of pipe that ruptured this morning.

The first water main break forced the closure of Lauderdale Drive early Friday morning.

“The second break disrupted water service to about 15 customers, who also had lost service this morning,” a county spokesperson said. “The Department of Public Utilities is providing bottled water to those affected.”

The department of public works has not yet determined when water service may be restored. Before the second main break, repairs were expected to be completed by midnight.

Now, the northbound lanes of Lauderdale between Cambridge Drive and John Rolfe Parkway are expected to remain closed into Saturday morning.
