RICHMOND, Va. -- We had some glorious Spring weather Wednesday and Thursday with highs around 70°.  A storm system has brought quite a change for Friday.

After a wave of rain in the morning, rain will turn a bit more scattered by midday.  Another wave of rain will track across the area during the afternoon with some heavy downpours.  Localized final rain totals could exceed an inch.  Rain will turn more scattered during the evening.

Rain chances will be very low over the weekend.  A few showers will linger in eastern Virginia Saturday morning.  A passing shower cannot be ruled out in a few spots, but most areas will be rain-free.  Our next system will bring some rain and storms Monday into early Tuesday.

After cool temperatures on Friday, highs will be in the 60s to lower 70s on Saturday and in the low to mid 70s Sunday.  A warm front will push highs to around 80° Monday.  A cold front will drop temperatures a little bit for Wednesday.
