Driver charged after propane tanker overturns in Goochland

GOOCHLAND COUNTY, Va. – A driver was charged with several traffic violations after an overturned propane tanker shut down a section of Maidens Road in Goochland County.

“At approximately, 9:16 a.m., the Virginia State Police responded to a single vehicle crash involving a propane tanker truck at the 1300 block of Maidens Road,” a Virginia State Police spokesperson said. “A 2017 Peterbuilt tanker truck hauling 10,000 gallons of propane was attempting to turn west on Route 6 from Route 522 when it overturned. Currently, there is no spillage of propane.”

The driver was charged with; Reckless driving, failure to maintain control.

The crash remains under investigation.
