CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- A fatal car accident has closed portions of Genito Road for several hours.
The accident took place around 5:10 p.m Wednesday on the 17200 block of Genito Road.
The tire of a Dump Truck went off the roadway, causing the driver to over-correct and collide with a Honda Accord travelling in the oncoming travel lane, according to police.
The driver of the Honda Accord was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the dump truck was not injured and remained on scene.
Police are continuing their investigation into this crash; however, at this point it does not appear that speed or alcohol are factors in this crash.
