Man arrested in West End carjacking, robbery

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — A Henrico man has been arrested after police say he carjacked a victim at gunpoint early Friday morning in Henrico’s West End.

On February 8, 2019, just after 5:00 a.m., officers responded to a report of a robbery in the 7800 block of Shrader Road.

Police say the victim reported being robbed at gunpoint and carjacked when he fled from the scene. The victim was uninjured during the incident.

The suspect, identified as 31-year-old Marcus Jamel Parker, was taken into custody after the stolen vehicle was located a short time later in the area of W Broad St. and Emerywood Pkwy.

Parker has been charged with robbery, carjacking, possession of a weapon while a convicted felon, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
