Police search for man who tried robbing Chesterfield store

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- Chesterfield Police are searching for the man who attempted to rob a Chesterfield BP station Wednesday evening.

"[A man] entered the business, acted like he had a weapon and demanded money. The suspect fled the scene before obtaining any money," a Chesterfield Police spokesperson said. "The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing between 200-220 pounds, and wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and khaki pants."

The crime was reported at about 7:15 p.m., at 2730 E. Hundred Road.
