Teens arrested after gunman fired shot inside Chesterfield store

CHESTERFIELD COUNT, Va. -- Three people were arrested as police investigated an armed robbery at an APlus convenience store in Chesterfield.

Police were alerted to the robbery, along the 2700 block of Buford Road, at about 10:40 p.m. Monday.

The robber, who was wearing a mask, entered the store and demanded money, police said.

"[He] displayed a firearm and shot one round inside the store. The suspect took money from the business then fled the area in a vehicle," Chesterfield Police Lt. Russell Granderson said. "A short time later, officers initiated a traffic stop of a suspicious vehicle. After further investigation, three juvenile occupants in the vehicle were arrested and charged with the robbery, conspiracy, and reckless handling of a firearm. No one was injured."
