Shots fired into Henrico homes; 38 shell casings found

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- An investigation is underway into who fired gunshots into a eastern Henrico County home.

The shooting, along the 2700 block of Catchpenny Road, was reported at about 3:20 a.m. Wednesday.

No injuries were reported as a result of the shooting.

No suspect description was made available in the hours after the shooting.

Police on scene said investigators found at least 38 shell casings outside the home.

Henrico Police are also investigating a second incident of shots fired into an eastern Henrico home Wednesday morning.

Officers responded to the 3900 block of Alma Avenue after a report of shots fired into the home at approximately 6:44 a.m.

The victim reported the residence had been struck by gunfire, but there were no injuries.

Officers found several shell casings near the home

Police said It is unknown if the two incidents are related.
