Man in ‘I 💗 Jesus’ hat rips Bibles, spray paints Chesterfield church

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- Police in Chesterfield County are searching for a man they said broke into Ironbridge Baptist Church late Tuesday night.

Surveillance cameras caught the man breaking into the church, on Route 10 in Chester, after 11 p.m.

Once inside the church, the man ripped pages out of Bibles, damaged glass windows, and spray painted wall, according to church members.

Police said the incident does not appear to be random.

Police described the suspect as a white male, about 6 feet tall in his late 20s or early 30s. He had an average build with dark hair and a full beard. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, light-colored jeans, dark-colored shoes and a black hat that appeared to say “I Love Jesus.”
