PETERSBURG, Va. -- Authorities said a 60-year-old woman who vanished last week in Petersburg was found safe in Michigan a week after she went missing.

Lt. Emanuel Chambliss with Petersburg Police said Eleanor Fitzell has been missing from her home in the 2100 block of Bishop Street since Saturday, June 30.

Chambliss said Michigan State Police located Fitzell on Saturday in Benton Harbor, Michigan.

Officials said she has no ties to that community and that her family is being notified.
