PETERSBURG, Va. --  For the second time in less than a year, fire has destroyed the same Petersburg home. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and a Virginia State Police arson dog were called to investigate the fire on Fillmore Street.

The house was already engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived Monday night at about 9:15.

While the cause of the fire remains under investigation, officials on scene said they have not ruled out that someone set the fire on purpose.

No injuries were reported.

The same house caught fire in October 2017.

Witnesses can send news tips and photos here.
