HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- Flash flooding Friday morning put some western Henrico neighborhood underwater.

Neighbors who live near Patterson Avenue and Lauderdale Drive, in far western Henrico, woke up to their parked cars halfway submerged in water.

"It’s just really high water. You can see people's cars getting stuck and people turning around," one neighbor said.

Neighbors said Friday morning's heavy rain flooded a nearby swamp causing water to gush into their community.

More rain is expected Friday evening.
