PETERSBURG, Va. — Two students were charged with making a bomb threat that locked down Petersburg High School Tuesday morning.
Petersburg Police were called to the school at about 10:41 a.m. to investigate the report of a bomb threat.
“Officers arrived at the school and students in the reported area were cleared from that section of the school and moved to a safe location. The school was placed on lock down during this time. Our K-9 officer responded to the school and conducted a search of the interior and exterior of the section of the building involved and no explosive devices were located,” a Petersburg Police spokesperson said. “Officers identified and located two 16 year old students (male and female) involved in this incident. Both students are now being charged in connection with making the bomb threat.”
