HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- An Amazon truck driver was rescued from her crashed vehicle early Thursday morning on Interstate 295, near Interstate 64, in eastern Henrico. Henrico rescue crews spent about 45 minutes working to free her after the 2 a.m. tractor trailer crash.

"The Trooper's preliminary investigation reveals that Shirece Dabney, 30, of Richmond Va., was driving a 2014 International tractor hauling an empty box trailer. Dabney was traveling southbound and ran off road right and off of the right shoulder," Virginia State Police spokesperson Sgt. Keeli Hill said. "Dabney was wearing her seat belt and was transported to the hospital for treatment of serious but non-life threatening injuries."

Dabney was later charged with Reckless driving: failure to maintain control.

Investigators said fatigue was considered a factor in the crash.

This is a developing story. Witnesses can send news tips and photos here.
