HANOVER COUNTY, Va. — Stephanie Tinsley, 30, was convicted of second-degree murder in the January 2016 shooting death of her boyfriend. Glen “Todd” McMillan Jr. was dead January 20 in their Trainham Road home.

The jury recommended Tinsley serve 10 years in prison for the crimes, according to Hanover Commonwealth’s Attorney Trip Chalkley. She will be officially sentenced in March 2018.

Tinsley called 911 after she shot and killed McMillan, according to court documents obtained by WTVR CBS 6.

She told investigators she shot him during an argument at their Beaverdam home.
