KING GEORGE COUNTY, Va. – A Fredericksburg man was killed Friday afternoon after running off the road, driving through a brick wall, then sticking a tree in King George County.

The man has been identified as 36-year-old Christopher Lee Snyder.

Virginia State Police said the single-vehicle crash happened at approximately 2:02 p.m., near the 10300 block of Salem Church Road (Rt. 625).

Police said a 2001 Chrysler sedan, driven by Snyder, was traveling eastbound entering into a sharp curve, ran off road and went straight through a brick wall, then struck a large tree.

Snyder, who was the sole occupant of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing his seatbelt.

Speed is being considered factors in the crash, according to State Police.

The crash remains under investigation.
