RICHMOND, Va. – Dr. Christine Darden is an acclaimed mathematician and aeronautical engineer who spent much of her 40 year career working at NASA researching supersonic flight and sonic booms. Dr. Darden was one of the researchers featured in the Margot Lee Shetterly book, and later movie, ‘Hidden Figures: The American Dream and the Untold Story of the Black Women Mathematicians Who Helped Win the Space Race’. Dr. Darden visits and chats about some of her experiences during her illustrious career. Dr. Christine Darden and Magot Lee Shetterly will serve as Grand Marshals for the upcoming ‘34th Annual Dominion Energy Christmas Parade’ happening Saturday, December 2nd from 10am to 12pm.
