RICHMOND, Va . — Zachary prefers to be called Zach and likes to play football and basketball.

He does not like chocolate necessarily, but he does like ice-cream, donuts, sugar buns, cherries, avocado, and peaches. Zach’s favorite color is blue. His favorite subject in school is math, he does not like reading.

Zach will do best in a family that will help him with his school work.

Zach is looking for a forever home that will offer him a structured environment, while at the same time allowing him to be a child.

He responds well to positive redirections and will take responsibility when he does something wrong. Zach also responds very well to positive one-on-one interactions. He will do best in a forever family with same aged or older siblings.

Zach is looking for a forever family that will support him in continuing to have contact and a relationship with his sister.

In Virginia, we have hundreds of children who are ready for foster to adoption. In other words, these children are ready to find their permanent and loving forever families. As Connecting Hearts –A Deborah J Johnston Charity, celebrates National Adoption Month, our “30 Kids in 30 Days” initiative is to bring awareness to 30 kids or sibling who are available for forever homes, but also to shed light on the other almost 700 children who may not be seen. Our kids are all ages and races, they were put in foster care due to no fault of their own. To learn more and becoming a foster to adoption parent(s) click here.
