RICHMOND, Va. — The 34th annual Dominion Energy Christmas Parade will start at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 2.   As of now, it looks like the parade will be dry, breezy and chilly.

A cold front will move through the area Thursday night into Friday with some rain.  After some highs in the 60s this week, cooler air will return Friday into the weekend.

Daybreak lows on Saturday will be in the mid to upper 30s, and temperatures for the start of the parade will be in the lower 40s.  Gusty northerly breezes will create wind chills in the upper 20s and lower 30s.  Temperatures will warm through the 40s during the morning, but wind chills will stay in the 30s.  It should be dry with some sunshine.  Highs will reach the 50s in the afternoon.

Since the exact timing of that system Thursday into Friday will influence Saturday’s weather, we will continue to update the parade forecast on our weather page.

The parade route begins at the Science Museum of Virginia on West Broad Street, and continues east to 7th Street.

We will have coverage of parade preparations from 6 to 8 a.m. on CBS 6 Saturday morning.  The Dominion Energy Christmas Parade will air live on CBS 6 at 10 a.m. and wtvr.com, and will be rebroadcast on Christmas Day.
