Goochland upset at home by Poquoson 21-10

Goochland, Va. - Poquoson outrushed Goochland 285-143 and got touchdown runs from Robert Henesey and Max Barrett in a 21-10 win over the Bulldogs to advance to the Class 2 state semifinals.

Goochland opened the scoring on a Devin McCray 1 yard touchdown plunge set up by a 39 yard run from Quincy Snead who led the Bulldogs with 58 yard rushing.

Poquoson doubled up that score with a Henesey 2 yard run, then on a pick six from Brody McDevitt which was scored as a 1 yard return. In actuality, McCray was throwing out of his own end zone when McDevitt jumped up to make the interception and came down in the end zone, scoring without taking a step.

Henesey and Colton Hicks combined for 183 yards on the ground for the Islanders (10-3).

Goochland (12-1) also got a 36 yard field goal from Zach Gordon.
