Man shot to death in South Richmond; second victim driven to hospital

RICHMOND, Va. -- Police have launched a homicide investigation after a man was found shot to death in South Richmond Tuesday evening.

Police said at 6:00 p.m. they received a report of a person shot in the 2700 block of Broad Rock Boulevard.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Crime Insider sources say the victim was shot multiple times, including a gunshot wound to the head.

A second shooting victim was transported to Chippenham Hospital by private vehicle. That male victim has non life-threatening injuries.

Investigators believe the shootings are related.

Police have not yet released information about a shooting suspect, nor a motive.
