2 sheets puff pastry

2 c. apples, diced

2 T sugar

½ t cinnamon

½ t salt

Egg

1T water

Sanding sugar

More cinnamon

Prepared frosting

Candy Eyes

Pre heat oven to 400 degrees.  Cut both sheets of puff pastry into quarters.  Leaving a column of dough down the middle of each square, cut slits along the outside of each square to use as wrapping for each mummy.  Spoon about two tablespoons of chopped apples down the center of each piece of puff pastry.  Pull the pieces of dough over the apples to overlap in the center and form the mummy body.  Beat the egg and water to make an eggwash and brush over dough.  Sprinkle with cinnamon and sanding sugar.  Bake at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes until mummies are just starting to turn golden brown and delicious.  Attach candy eyes with frosting. Enjoy.
