Missing teens from Amelia and Cumberland found safe

AMELIA COUNTY, Va. – Two missing teens from Amelia, and Cumberland, respectively, have been found safe, according to the Amelia County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say 16-year-old Fasiyyah M Jones and 16-year-old Eric E. Suchomelly were located in Powhatan County and returned safely to their families Friday evening.

Officials said the teens were found through the many tips and cooperation between citizens and law enforcement.

“We would like to extend our gratitude to each of you, Powhatan County Sheriff’s Office, Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office and the media who assisted us in spreading the word about the missing juveniles.  Each one of you played an important role in their safe return,” said a Amelia Sheriff’s Office spokesperson.

Jones was reported missing on September 28.

Fasiyyah Jones

Jones is described as a black female, 5’2” tall, approx. 120lbs, black hair, brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a neon green t shirt with “Amelia” written on it and black leggings.

Suchomelly is decribed as a white male, 5’10” tall, approx. 150 lbs, black hair, brown eyes. He was last seen wearing blue and grey Northface hoody, blue jeans, orange and white NIke Air Force shoes.
