Man shot near intersection in Henrico’s East End

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- Police are investigating a shooting near a Henrico County intersection that has sent one man to the hospital.

Police said at 9:04 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting near the intersection of Creighton Road and Laburnum Ave in Henrico's East End.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment. There is no word on his condition at this time.


Police said their investigation is ongoing.

The intersection of Creighton Road and Laburnum Avenue is expected to be closed for the next few hours.

There is no information about a possible suspect or motive at this time.
