HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- Impawsible Pups, a doggie daycare and boarding facility in Henrico County's West End, offers pups a space to play while their owners are at work.

The daycare's goal is to build a stronger bond between the dogs and their owners by educating them on things like exercise and nutrition.

Impawsible Pups' founder, Valerie Paul, said animals have always been a part of her life.

“I grew up with five dogs, two horses, six ducks and two cats,” Paul said. “I had a stronger relationship with animals than I did with people. I didn't have any siblings and I started looking into this. My mom is actually the one who brought up dog training and I thought it sounded like a great idea.”

Paul said when she first started the center, her goal was to see 20 dogs a day. But now that the business has a newer and larger facility, she typically sees 80 dogs per day on average.
