Suspicious device found at Colonial Heights library deemed not a threat

COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. -- Virginia State Police Bomb Squad responded to the Colonial Heights Public Library after the discovery of a suspicious device.

Colonial Heights police and State Police were called to the library, located at 1000 Yacht Basin Drive.

Sheriff's deputies said a woman spotted what she thought looked like a bomb in a flower bed outside the library on just before 6:00 Wednesday evening.

State Police Bomb Squad used a robot and K-9 units to analysis the suspicious device. They determined it was not a threat.
