RICHMOND, Va. -- A little cold weather did not slow down the Christmas at Creighton Day of Fun on Saturday.
Cedar Street Baptist Church of God organizes the event, which provides presents, clothing, shoes and food to folks in need.
Organizers said the event grows every year and allows them to be a blessing for those in need.
"We've been coming out here for several years, because we adopted Creighton Court as one of the communities that we like to bless throughout the year," said Tiffany Scott, communication director for Cedar Street Baptist Church of God. " So what we do because Christmas time is a time when a lot of people do not have, so we want to be a blessing not only to kids, but to the families as well."
The church has adopted 13 families that were blessed with bikes, scooters, electronics and other gifts.
