HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — Police have released the name of the 72-year-old man who died of injuries he sustained in a two-vehicle crash along I-64 in Henrico County Saturday afternoon.

Sgt. Steve Vick with Virginia State Police said the wreck happened at 1:56 p.m. near the Parham Road exit at mile marker 181.

That is where troopers said a Hyundai Accent traveling west on I-64 ran of the road and struck a Toyota Avalon that was abandoned on the interstate’s right shoulder.

The driver of the Hyundai, Preston H. Haskell of Richmond, was transported to Henrico Doctors Hospital where he later died.

Officials said Haskell was not wearing a seatbelt.

Vick said the crash remains under investigation.
