RICHMOND, Va. -- Richmond police are investigating after two people were shot in two separate shootings in South Richmond Sunday night.
Dispatchers received back-to-back calls for Bowen Street and Oakland Place just after 8:20 p.m.
When officers arrived at Oakland Place, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital with injuries that were called not life-threatening.
However, when officers arrived on Bowen Street, they discovered a man fatally wounded in a car.
As a result, police said they are working a death investigation.
Richmond police have not said if they think the shootings are connected. Additionally, officers have not yet issued any information about a description of the suspect.
